How do i officially book a hunt with nola hunt & fish?

Give us a call and we’ll gather all the necessary information we need to put together the perfect hunt for you. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book your hunt. The remaining balance will be due at the time of the hunt.

WHat forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, cashier’s checks, Venmo* and Paypal.*

Personal checks will be accepted for deposits only.

*A 3% charge will be added for credit card payments via Venmo.

*Paypal payments will be subject to a 3% charge for any transaction type.

what if there is inclement weather at the time of my hunt?

Nola Hunt & Fish captains will determine if the hunt can continue safely based on the weather forecast. If the hunt is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will work to reschedule the hunt at a later date pending schedule availability. Your deposit will be applied to the new date.

i booked a hunt! what should i bring?

Please check the weather before your hunt, but assume that it is going to be HOT and HUMID. The average high Louisiana temperatures during August and September are typically between 89-95 degrees, so please dress accordingly.

We recommend bringing:

• Lightweight, moisture wicking clothes

• Hat

• Sunglasses

• Rain gear or poncho

• Sunscreen

• Comfortable, closed-toed shoes

• Change of clothes

• Backpack or storage bag

• Camera

• Device charger

• Snacks and drinks for the boat

  *We will provide an ice chest with bottled waters, but feel free to bring any drinks or snacks that you’d like to have!

SHould i bring my own gun?

Nola Hunt & Fish will provide all guns, ammunition and gear related to the hunt. Please do not bring any of your own.

can i bring my own boat?

From 16ft surface drives to 26ft outboards, Nola Hunt & Fish has a fleet of boats to accommodate every hunt.

What happens after the hunt?

All skinning and processing is done at an offsite facility. Hunters will have the opportunity to purchase meat, hides, and skulls after the hunt.

1 mounted alligator head of choice per hunter will be included in hunt package. Shipping will be provided.

Is it customary to tip your guide?

While tipping is not required, it is certainly appreciated! There is a tremendous amount of planning and preparation that takes place year-round in order to offer our clients the best opportunity for a successful hunt. If you feel that your guide exceeded your expectations, any amount of gratuity is welcomed.
